Elizabeth Oakley

Artist, photographer and illustrator with an early background living in Asia and Africa. In later life worked in publishing; media; coaching; IT, and local government. Started as an oil painter in the 1970s producing large works. Moved more recently towards greater definition through line drawing, illustrative styles, and photography. I like humour in art and have experimented with affectionate illustrations as well as cartoons. I am especially interested in community art projects and have been a collaborative member of several of these in Dursley. One design has been featured in a book published in 2021.

In the early years completed a pre-degree year at Hertfordshire College of Art and Design. Since then a largely self taught artist, illustrator and photographer. Previous exhibitions in London, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Stroud, Wotton Under Edge, and Dursley. Several hundred photographs published in different media over the last ten years to include the local press, News features, websites, and calendars for Gloucestershire organisations.
