After leaving full-time education, the next few years were spent combining freelance design work with teaching art to adults, eventually as full-time art lecturer with Salford Education Authority. Many years’ experience of teaching art to adults in a variety of locations.

Now concentrating on my own artwork, although still tutoring single events such as workshops for art clubs and other organisations.

Paintings, often in acrylic inks on a textured ground, mainly develop from observational drawings, usually watercolour or mixed media. Themes include landscapes, natural forms, trees, rock pools and rock formations.

Participation in numerous exhibitions and events, including the Severn Vale Arts Trail, Tyndale Arts Trail, Contemporary Watercolours Open, Ruskin Mill Gallery, Bath Society of Artists Open and the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
