Jen Gash
After painting furiously as a teen, I trained as an occupational therapist and kept painting as a second profession. As a painter I am interested in: the landscape as psychology/psychological backdrop; the fragility of children and teenagers; themes around engagement/disengagement in activities; abandoned/historical play and leisure environments. These painting themes somehow reflect my career in both occupational therapy and coaching. Although it might sound like a strange mix, all these disciplines have a creative heart and believe in the potential for human beings to live engaged, meaningful lives.
In recent years I have published texts on creativity and coaching and in 2018 I won Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the year, with a prize commission for the Imperial War Museum - it's been a busy few years!
