I gained a BA Hons degree from Central St Martins in 1985 in Fine Art Sculpture. I continued here with a Postgraduate Diploma before going on to qualify in Adult Education. I exhibited regularly in London and the surrounding areas. On moving to the Cotswolds, with its rich history of the woolen trade, I became interested in using wool and dry needle felt as a medium for expression. My work explores the soft subtle blends of wool, combined with shimmering light effects. I work from life taking photographs to translate into needle felt landscapes. The autobiographical works have a three dimensional quality and record my time in the Cotswolds and trips abroad, encapsulating those special memories. I take commissions using your own photographs and can capture those memorable places forever. I have worked in schools and colleges and offer regular needle felting workshops, teaching students this beautiful therapeutic craft.
