I am currently completing an MA (Ceramics and Maker) at Cardiff Metropolitan University after graduating with BA (Hons) Ceramics in 2021. My technical dissertation deepened my knowledge and understanding of local clays, which are now an important aspect to my pieces. Previously my NHS career of 37 years as a nurse and midwife was paralleled by a love of clay from senior school. My current work is mainly wheel thrown vessel forms that interact with each other and their surroundings, reflecting empathetic and tacit ideas stemming from my previous career.
