Oakley

I was brought up in the Third World and enjoyed the colour and vibrancy of different cultures. In more recent times I have related to the more subtle colours of the English landscape and architecture especially through photography, line drawings, and acrylic paintings. I have exhibited in London, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Wotton Under Edge and Dursley. I have worked collaboratively with other artists in a number of group exhibitions. My most recent project has been to document the last days of St Mark's Church, Woodmancote, Dursley, in photography and line drawing. I spent a special afternoon taking the last ever indoor photographs of St Marks before the church formally closed in March 2023. I would like to feature some of these photographs at the Tyndale Arts this year in honour of the one hundred and eighty year service of the building to the local community.
