Davis

Sarah Davis is a stained glass artist and tutor, who trained at Bristol School of Art and is based in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire. She designs and makes unique colourful glass hangings, panels, and windows, working with traditional and modern techniques. Her work often follows natural themes, including plants, landscapes and animals. Sarah also teaches stained glass at local venues including the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust and Victoria Works Studios near Stroud. During 2023 she has been Artist in Residence at Nature in Art, where some of her work is exhibited. She is a member of the Gallery at the Guild in Chipping Campden and the Contemporary Glass Society.
Sarah’s leaded glass work, often installed as windows or panels, has vibrant designs created using the varied colours and textures of stained glass. She often uses sgraffito painting to produce intricate patterns on the surface of the glass. Sarah also uses copper foiling techniques to produce smaller stained glass hangings, often based on animal designs. She has created a substantial range of stained glass hangings and greetings cards, which are sold online and through local retailers, including Leaf & Ground near Dursley. Her work is also sold through exhibitions, fairs, galleries and her online Folksy.com shop.
Sarah is happy to discuss commissions for stained glass for clients’ homes and gardens.
