Alison has been drawing, painting, sewing and making since her earliest memories. Brought up in the Herefordshire countryside, she studied Illustration (BA Hons) at Bower Ashton, UWE, where she now works in the Fashion & Textiles Department. Continually inspired by glorious nature, she loves to sketch and paint in fields, gardens and on beaches. Drawn to colour and texture, she enjoys the physical process and layered qualities of oil painting. Using brush, knife and improvised tools, this is a happy way for her to capture the vibrant patterns of her surroundings.
